They should get decent viewing figures given most of the country will be at home!!!
@Ant E I got quite excited the other day, we were watching "Meet the Richardsons" & the Red Dwarf trailer came on.
It was the first time I've seen it on the TV
What is this Red Dwarf program? I have heard a few things about it, some robot and a few other bums in space ?
Yeah, that's about the size of it
Yes, I thought it would come out on Friday, so I got really excited, when I read the first tweet. I spent my afternoon refreshing Twitter.
Thursday 9th of April
I love the new trailer
Looks fun. Poor old Krytes seems to be in the wars somewhat. Rimmer looks like he’s out through the mill a bit too, and A hologram comes a cropper, though we don’t know if it’s him.
Looks like DAve will also be broadcasting deleted scenes and a documentary about the special:
I didn't find any mention of the retrospectives on their website.
It's a shame about the retrospectives, but the behind the scenes and the deleted scenes (are they not calling them smeg ups/outs?) sound pretty cool
Did you find this by typing in random things into the URL? lol
I was wondering if there'd be deleted scenes, these might be even more interesting then the regular ones we usually get considering this is a linear 90-minute story and you'd imagine every scene has a specific purpose to it.
I didn't find anything about the smeg-ups.
BTW, Doug Naylor and Robert Llewellyn will be responding to fans' questions on MCM Birmingham Twitter today at 2.30 pm. Maybe they will mention the retrospectives too.
No, I just searched 'Red Dwarf Special' on their website and this came as a result.
Doug said on Twitter the documentaries will be broadcast later in the year. He also mentioned they will be just 45 minutes long, not 60 as it was announced.
Well it's better than nothing
I think he's better off making them home release exclusive, who's going to watch 3 separate 45-minute documentaries with no main course afterward
Hopefully Thursday the 9th April's new Red Dwarf will be spectacular and will carry on in terms of quality from the excellent back-to-back series 11 and 12 a few years ago. Really looking forward to it and hope it will cheer us up in these terribly dark times we are living in at present.
I have a good feeling about the special, the trailer gave me a lot of confidence.
Just hope the Blu-Ray is available before the UK disappears behind a Brexit curtain...
I do live in the UK but don't have access to 'Dave'. I wander when they will put this in UKTV?
Also, I'm not a fan of adverts. I tried watching one of the latest Game of Thrones episodes on Sky and there were ad breaks every ten mins which completely pulled me out of the viewing experience. If I'm watching something movie length I'd rather watch it as it was want to be seen.
So it looks like I'll be waiting till the following eve when hopefully an uninterrupted HD version will be available to watch.
That is if course before the blu ray comes out
