Revamping

Following a massively successful six months, reddwarf.co.uk has a few nips and tucks.

15 June, 2001

Well, with hits in the hundreds of thousands and Mr Flibble booking himself an expensive holiday, it's time for reddwarf.co.uk to celebrate - and how better than with a present to the people who made it such a success. (That's you, by the way!)

Having listened to the feedback, we've tried to adjust the site's navigation system a little - we've compressed the masses of content down to ten decks. Plus, there are now buttons at the bottom of your screen (down there, go on, look) to help you find the three key points of the site - Red Hot News on the home page, the Red Dwarf shop and the section we've dedicated to the production of Red Dwarf - The Movie.

You might also have noticed that we're no longer using a Flash navigation system (if you didn't, don't worry - Mr Flibble doesn't understand this stuff either). Despite the funky animations, the Flash version of the Xpress Elevator was slower to load than our revamped version - and we didn't want to keep you waiting a second longer than necessary!

The Red Dwarf shop, however, is still Flash - we just couldn't bear to make you part with Chris Barrie's lovely voice on the menu!

We hope you find the changes have improved the site. Have a look around then post a message on the webboards to let us know what you think. You might even notice that, next week, the new Time Hole deck will start to fill up...
