BTL Arrives

The delayed Winter issue of the Fan Club magazine finally arrives.

11 January, 2002

As previously reported, both on this site and on reddwarffanclub.com, the 39th issue of Better Than Life was delayed by the theft of a great deal of the magazine's content (not to mention the car it was in).

BTL#39

Posting on the club's website, now-walking team member Den reported that "much of the issue had to be recompiled. Anyway, we hope it's better late than never, and if you haven't already received your copy, you can expect it any day now!"

"Many members of the TORDFC team squeezed into a cramped room in Hitchin this weekend for their quarterly general meeting and, more importantly, envelope stuffing! The day saw many hundreds of magazines inserted into brown envelopes and equal numbers of sticky labels attached. BTL #39 will be distributed from Monday morning to arrive on your doorsteps as soon as Royal Mail deem fit."

The Fan Club is also responsible for organising the Dimension Jump Weekend, the latest details for which are always posted on the convention's own 'mini-site' within the club site. "The convention that just keeps getting bigger is well on track, and with spaces still available there's still time to get in on the action," the club reports.

BTL Online updates also look set to go supernova in the New Year. "In April we'll be launching our online-exclusive Red Dwarf Mastermind tournament, which will take place across SmegChat and The BTL Forums over the following months."

You can get a Fan Club application form, plus details of 2000's red-hot Dimension Jump Weekend, from the Officers' Club. Or you can link to the club site from the Links section.
