UK Gold Bugged

The Dwarf-less, Starbug-set sixth series is approaching UK screens.

12 April, 2002

UK Gold - whose repeats of Red Dwarf seem infinite in a way even the universe itself can only be jealous of - are about to launch into series VI. Catch Lister in a clinch with Pete Tranter's sister and playing tonsil tennis with a giant cockroach. Plus there's what he got up to with a hairy GELF and a sexy sprite named Loretta.

Not that the series was all about Lister snogging. Oh no. Ignoring certain computer generated Wimbledon ballgirls, there's plenty of cowboy action, space dogfights, and the most unbelievable alien impersonation since Mr Flibble pulled on a pair of deely boppers and commanded that he be taken to Earth's leader.

Regardless, you can check out the whole of series VI on UK Gold on Saturday, April 13th from 9pm until 12.50am - with repeats on Sunday from 2.40am. And if you're in a satellite mood, why not take a look at Network 2 where VI is coming to an end, also on Saturday the 13th (12.15am), and VII is about to kick off - Saturday, April 20th at 12.45am.

Those of you without access to satellite television - fear not! Rumour has it that BBC2 are looking to repeat all 52 shows this summer. Keep your eye on reddwarf.co.uk for more news at it emerges.
