The Smeg Ups released on PSP - hilarity for your holiday.

As previously reported, Red Dwarf: The Smeg Ups is released in the UK on July 10th. The Kryten-hosted package includes outtakes from Series IV to VI, as well as the Series VII Smeg Ups.

If nothing else, its the perfect antidote to long flights, ferry rides or car journeys... assuming the Red Dwarf fan in your life has a PlayStation Portable, and isn't too busy being travel sick.

Ads have been appearing in British magazines showing, as you'd expect, the cover of the package, and we suddenly thought - you guys haven't seen the way that packaging evolved.

An unusually fast turnaround began with another in-house GNP mock-up being worked up by 2entertain. They then added the detail, which was deemed a little too much as it turned out, and eventually that was toned down for the final design.

Cover copy was taken from the 1995 VHS release - although we did take a moment to correct the description of Kryten being a "3,000 series" droid. (He's a 4,000 series. If you didn't know that, go to the back of the class - and no sneaky playing with your PSP.)
