Beat the Geek wows the critics!

On June 28th, Red Dwarf: Beat the Geek scooped the Home Entertainment Week award for Interactive DVD.

The quiz DVD - available here - is hosted by both versions of Holly, featuring new material performed by Hattie Hayridge and Norman Lovett. The game allows single, dual or team play and includes a 'general knowledge' category that allows non-fans to compete against genuine Red Dwarf geeks.

Also nominated - which is to say beaten - were Deal Or No Deal, the Empire Magazine Interactive Quiz, Strike It Lucky and kids favourite Raven. The judges praised the game highly, saying that "the creators of the DVD demonstrate a true understanding of the brand and its target audience... a sterling job."
