25 April, 2008

Scrapheap Challenge has reached its tenth series. Helmed by Red Dwarf's very own Robert Llewellyn, the series will kick off on Channel 4 on Sunday 27th April at 5.45pm. RDF have handily sent us the following breakdown of the fifteen episodes:

Robert's Final Scrapheap

Scrap Speed Record
Scooter Shooters
Superbikes
Decoration Dash
Dune Bashers
Powerboats
Rocket Railway
Fire Fighters
Snow Shifters
Deep Sea Treasure Hunt
Land Tugs
Manphibious Machines
Hovercraft
Juice Free Dragsters
Giant Archery

At the end of the run there will also be a highlights show, 10 Years of Scrapheap.

Robert's Final Scrapheap

Reports from Robert himself suggest that this may be the last Scrapheap - or, at least, the last featuring the man himself. Between this LlewTube video and this Llew forum post there seems little doubt. So enjoy it while you can, kids!

Meanwhile, you can still catch the last four instalments of How Do They Do It?, where Robert continues to uncover the feats of science that surround us in everyday life. The next episode is on Five on Monday 28 April at 7.30pm and features armoured cars, flat-pack furniture and the cleaning of the Thames.

You can learn everything you could want to about Robert Llewellyn on his website.
