Caped Crusaid

No, it's not a typo - it's charity time!

27 November, 2009

Robert Llewellyn and Danny John-Jules - the actors behind the Cat and Kryten irrespectively - have donated personal illustrations to HIV/AIDS charity Caped Crusaid.

MISSION: To gather together the best artists, performers, writers, and actors with connections to the Comic Book and Sci-Fi universe. To then have them doodle, scribble or draw a postcard depicting their favourite hero, time lord, or wonder woman for auction and exhibition.

AIMS: To raise funds in aid of Crusaid and spread awareness of HIV/AIDS.

The drawings will be exhibited at Orbital Comics for the first two weeks of December. The whole thing run in conjunction with an online eBay auction for selected pieces.

Start Time: Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:30am
End Time: Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 5:00am
Location: Orbital Comics, 8 Great Newport Street, London WC2H 7JA

A preview evening will be held on the 30th November from 7pm.

Among the contributors are actors - Brian Blessed (Flash Gordon), James Earl Jones (Star Wars), Gareth David Lloyd (Torchwood), Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who), Terence Stamp (Superman/Smallville), Russell Tovey (Being Human/Doctor Who), Adam West (Batman), Kevin Conroy (Batman Animated) plus our very own boys from the Dwarf - and comic books names like David Lloyd (V for Vendetta), Phil Jimenez (Astonishing X-Men) and Chris Bachalo (Sinister Spiderman).
