A Year of Back to Earth

Remember when you had no idea what was coming?

16 April, 2010

It was April, 2009. New Red Dwarf had last been shown in April of 1999, and on a completely different channel. Yet here we were, with a brand new three-part adventure: Back to Earth. The Big Four cast members were back and barely looking a day older, the mothership returned to her squat older form, and the title had a whole double-meaning that wouldn't be revealed until the gripping part three.

Ahh, happy days.

So, why not take yourself back to that time? Check out our episode guide, take a wander through our gallery, go all the way behind the scenes and check out the library music used to fake a great big orchestral score.

Remember, also, that Back to Earth is now available to download from the iTunes Red Dwarf room in both standard format and high-definition, alongside The Making of Back to Earth documentary. But for the fullest experience, for the acres of bonus material - including a second, deeper documentary, deleted scenes, smeg ups, promotional videos and more - you really need to avail yourself of the DVD or Blu-ray.

A yeah, huh? Seems like yesterday.

Back to Earth was originally shown over the 10th, 11th and 12th of April, 2009 on Dave.
