Red Dwarf Wins Broadcast Award

ARG makes us go YAY.

18 June, 2010

It already seems so long ago that any new information about Red Dwarf: Back to Earth caused a flutter across the internet and a shiver down the spine of any fan of the series. Right smack-bang in the middle of that anticipation was the Back to Earth ARG - that's 'Artificial Reality Game' to the acronym-allergic.

Red Dwarf Wins Broadcast Award

As previously reported the ARG - which allowed fans to track down Carbug and the Red Dwarf crew as they made their way to a specific location in present-day London, along the way releasing exclusive videos and images - has already been nominated for (and won) various marketing awards.

Well, chalk up another one, Bucko - the Broadcast Award for Best Use of Digital Technology!

Given to Red Bee Media for Dave, the ARG beat out the BBC's Wildlife Finder, The Channel 4's 1066: The Game and The Starbucks Love Project. To which we can only say Yay!

The Red Dwarf ARG began here.
