Danny's Charity Ride

Cat actor posts another video from Guadeloupe.

7 October, 2011

Danny John-Jules has been suffering in the sunshine, filming BBC One's Death in Paradise in exotic Guadeloupe. But to rebalance the karma he's also riding his two-wheeled pink monster for charity - here's his latest video.

Danny's Charity Ride

Born out of the world of motorcycle racing - along with the all-over leather look - Riders for Health's mission is to make sure health workers in Africa have uninterrupted access to reliable transport. From the website:

Danny John-Jules, Matt Roberts and Steve Keys will be riding down to Valencia for the final round of MotoGP 2011 in aid of Riders for Health. Danny and Steve will be riding the now infamous Pink R1's and Matt Roberts will be on board a Lorenzo tribute R1 that was produced for Lorenzo to ride around the TT course in 2010.

The ride, which will be filmed by KMBA productions, will follow a route taking in the Champagne region, Dijon, Montpellier and Barcelona giving them plenty of time to take in local culture. Once they arrive in Valencia they will be meeting up with local supporters of Riders for Health and then leading them into the circuit for their very own Day of Champions. It is hoped that they will gather some exclusive items on route which will be auctioned for the charity when they get there.

They will be setting off from the Ace Cafe on Sunday 30th October and will be hoping that as many people as possible will be there to wave them off.

The website is also currently running a competition to win one of the Viva Valencia team shirts. Vvvvrrrooom!
