DJ Discount

Your last chance to get convention tickets at the cheapest rate!

20 May, 2016

The tickets for next year's Dimension Jump XIX - the Official Red Dwarf Fan Club convention - have only been on sale for a couple of weeks, but already we're hearing from the club that passes for the event have been selling at a faster than average rate. What's especially impressive is that this has happened before the first guest announcements have been made!

DJ Discount

What these early bird buyers have got in common, of course, is the fact that they've taken advantage of the special discount rate that has applied since passes went on sale on 2nd May. But if you haven't got your place at the convention booked, then we're duty bound to remind you that you can only get the low rate until the end of today (Friday 20th May).

If you do book before tomorrow, then you can get your three-day pass for £65 if you're a TORDFC member, and £75 if you're not. If you don't manage to get in there in time, however, then don't fret too much: the prices will be going up, but to a still-very-reasonable £75/£90. So if you'd rather wait and see exactly which guests are coming, you're not going to miss out too much.

Still and all, whatever happens, Dimension Jump is pretty much guaranteed (although our lawyers would like us to point out that this guarantee is not legally binding) to be a smegging spectacular weekend, filled with more Red Dwarf entertainment and enjoyment than you can shake a Stirmaster at. Special guests from Dwarf past and present (and future?) will participate in Q&A sessions as well as signing autographs and posing for photographs, along with the special limited-edition "coffee morning" meet and greet sessions. And then there are the quizzes, the merchandise auctions, the special screenings, the karaoke, the costume competition... and the all-important Saturday night disco. And with this convention falling after the broadcast of Red Dwarf XI, do you really want to miss out on all the exclusive chatter that's likely to follow?

DJ XIX is taking place at the Crowne Plaza, Nottingham, returning to the venue that made its DJ debut in 2015. It's over the weekend of Friday 7th-Sunday 9th April 2017, and if you need a hotel room (which is likely, unless you leave nearby or really fancy a late-night drive) they can be booked at a special rate of £95 per night. You'll need to make the booking as per TORDFC's instructions, but you can find out more about all of that over at the official site.

We're expecting that TORDFC will start making announcements about guests very soon - but given that recent events have seen various combinations of Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn, Hattie Hayridge, Doug Naylor, Chloë Annett, Tony Hawks, Gordon Kennedy, Mac McDonald, John Lenahan and Richard O'Callaghan in attendance, we feel confident in saying that whoever they announce will be pretty good.

So what are you waiting for? Book your place before everyone else sees Series XI and realises just how desperately they need to go...

While Grant Naylor Productions fully support the Official Fan Club and Dimension Jump weekend, they are stand alone entities in which we have neither a shareholding or common directors. Nor is there any form of legal partnership. Enquires can be directed to the club at info.tordfc@gmail.com.
