Craig And Danny Are Pointless

Stars team up for BBC1 quiz.

It's so long since this was recorded that we'd almost forgotten it was happening, but some nine months after it was first announced, Craig Charles and Danny John-Jules are finally set to make their long-awaited appearance on BBC1's Celebrity Pointless.

The popular gameshow, hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, sees contestants attempt to answer questions that have first been put to a random sample of 100 members of the public - with the aim being to give answers that are correct, but also guessed by the fewest possible surveyed.

Craig and Danny's appearance is part of a celebrity special featuring pairs from assorted British sitcoms - they're competing against Su Pollard and Jefferey Holland of Hi-de-Hi, Jean Boht and Nick Conway of Bread, and Brendan O'Carroll and Jennifer Gibney of Mrs Brown's Boys. We don't know yet how well they did - but we can only hope it's a better showing than Danny put up alongside Ben Miller earlier in the year, when the Death in Paradise pair were eliminated in the first round...

The episode will be shown on BBC One on Saturday 17th August at 5.45pm, and will also be on iPlayer for a week afterwards.
